YOUR FIRST FEW VISITS
FIRST VISIT
Initial consultation is complementary at the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic. You have nothing to lose in discussing your condition with the doctor to find out if we can help you.
During the initial consultation, your Doctor will ask some questions that relate to your personal and family medical history, where you believe your pain stems from, what kinds of symptoms you’ve noticed, and if you have ever sustained some injury in the past.
Based on the information gathered in the consultation, you may choose to move forward with a physical examination. Orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination procedures will be used to determine whether or not you are a candidate for treatment at the Pierce Clinic. If a problem is found in your examination, specific x-rays will be taken to determine the exact problem and the magnitude of any structural abnormalities.
These low radiation digital x-rays will be personally analyzed by your Doctor who will determine all the exact measurements of your misalignment. These personalized measurements allow the doctor to effectively make the right adjustment to realign your spine. The office staff will then schedule you for your follow-up visit or “Report of Findings” where the doctor will review his findings with you, and make the appropriate recommendations specific to your case.
Please allow up to 90 minutes for this first visit.

SECOND VISIT
When you return on the second visit, the doctor will take adequate time to explain all of your examination and x-ray findings to you. The doctor will also explain the Advanced Orthogonal procedure, and any specific treatment recommendations that he thinks necessary to help you get started on the road towards better health
Following your initial Advanced Orthogonal correction, your doctor will have two post-adjustment x-rays taken. These post x-rays will go through the same refined analysis as your first x-rays to determine exactly how your neck responded to the correction. This is typically done only after the initial adjustment, and helps the doctors anticipate how you may progress and also to know what modification, if any may be necessary in your future care.
Please allow another 60-90 minutes for this 2nd appointment.
FOLLOWING UP
Our goal is to make a lasting correction, not repetitive adjustments. At the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic, we will closely monitor your body’s ability to maintain spinal alignment over your first month of care. Keep in mind that these appointments aren’t necessarily to ‘adjust’ you, but rather to monitor how well your correction is holding in place. One of the major differences here at the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic is that you will only receive a correction if it is found that your body has slipped out of proper alignment.
“Holding is Healing”
Healing is a process and the longer your body can maintain proper structural alignment, the better your body is able to maintain proper nervous system function and facilitate healing of the degenerative processes. Our goal is to get your body stable enough to dramatically reduce your visit frequency and get you to a maintenance level of care as soon as possible.
Aside from the first two visits, most appointments at the Pierce Clinic will be 30 minutes or less.
