G. Stanford Pierce Sr., D.C., B.C.A.O.


Dr. Pierce, a third generation Chiropractor, has practiced in St. Petersburg, FL since 1968. He was the third recipient of the C.C.E. Sherman College Board Certification in Atlas Orthogonality and has attended over 50 symposiums in the analysis and treatment of neck conditions. In addition to being the founder and developer of the Advanced Orthogonal Techniques and Procedures program, Dr. Pierce was an instructor for the R.W. Sweat Foundation of Atlanta, Ga.


He is currently the Lead Instructor on the Advanced Orthogonal Technique and designed the Advanced Orthogonal Percussion Adjusting Instrument. Dr. Pierce has participated on the Extended Faculty of the Sherman College of Chiropractic, Life Chiropractic College West, and Palmer College of Florida. He also developed the first Post Graduate Intern Program for Advanced Upper Cervical Doctors. Dr. Pierce is a dedicated Christian, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and enjoys an occasional game of golf.

Jeremy Miller, D.C., M.S.

Director of Doctors

Dr. Miller was born and raised in the heart of the Midwest, Des Moines, Iowa. He received his bachelor’s degree from Simpson College. Throughout his high school and undergraduate studies, Dr. Miller always loved science, and helping people, but he didn’t find a career that resonated with him until he discovered chiropractic.

Dr. Miller attended Life University in Marietta, GA where he duel-enrolled in the Doctorate of Chiropractic program and the Sports Health Science Master’s program. During his time at school, Dr. Miller was able to work with and provide pre and post event care to athletes from Life University as well as from Kennesaw State University. During the last half of his schooling, he was accepted into an honors research tract. He worked extensively with faculty doctors and specialized in upper cervical chiropractic research. Dr. Miller completed a study on Atlas adjustments and balance that is pending publication.

Dr. Miller graduated from Life University with a Doctorate in Chiropractic with Research Honors and a Master’s in Sports Health Science. He completed the Advanced Orthogonal Fundamentals series as well as an Advanced Orthogonal Internship where he dedicated himself to advancing his skills. In addition to being a treating doctor at the Pierce Clinic, Dr. Miller also serves as the Director of Research and Development for the Advanced Orthogonal Institute. Today, Dr. Miller is excited to be able to use his skills and training to help people live a better quality of life, by restoring health and function to his patients. He enjoys spending time with his wife, who is an animal chiropractor, playing golf, and reading.

Chris Slininger, D.C., D.C.C.J.P.

Certified Advanced Orthogonist

Craniocervical Specialist

Dr. Slininger has been serving the St. Petersburg community since 2013.  He is one of less than 80 Craniocervical Specialists nationwide and the only Certified Advanced Orthogonist with this degree.

His practice focuses on helping patients that have had prolonged and complex neurological issues like post-concussive injuries, dysautonomia, dizziness and vertigo, balance issues and brain fog.  His approach is to identify the root of the issue, explain it and strategize a logical approach to the resolution of the issue.

Dr. Slininger joined the U.S. Army Reserves after high school serving in Kuwait during Operation Iraqi Freedom as an engineer. He served as a Training NCO in the Medical Corps for nine years. While serving, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree as an Athletic Trainer. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in Hayward, CA where he focused on Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care. Upon graduation in 2013, he moved to Florida to begin his career at Pierce Clinic. In 2019, he completed his Diplomate in Chiropractic Craniocervical Junction Procedures through the International Chiropractic Association’s Council.

He previously served as the Executive Director and continues to be an Instructor at the Advanced Orthogonal Institute. He also served on the Board of Directors of the International Chiropractic Association’s Council on Upper Cervical Care. He is a professional speaker and has developed online health courses for patients to include Health By God’s Design and The Eating Perfectly Masterclass in addition to producing the Upper Cervical documentary called “The Secret to Healing”.

Dr. Chris has been married for 13 years to his wife, Mary, and they have 5 children. He loves outdoor adventure and studying ancient history. More than anything, he loves God with all of his heart and loves spending time with his family.

Theodore Berlingeri, D.C.

Advanced Orthogonist

Dr. Theo is originally from Bergen County, NJ. At a young age, chiropractic made a long-lasting impression on him as he witnessed his mother regain her life back from a serious health condition after receiving chiropractic care.  Over a decade later, while working at an extended volunteer program, Dr. Theo began to grasp the significance of the healing art of chiropractic. 

In 2016, Dr. Theo enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he eventually earned both is Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees.  Early in his academic career, he became fascinated with Upper Cervical Chiropractic and began studying Advanced Orthogonal in 2018 through seminars taught at Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic.  He moved to St. Petersburg in March 2020 where he took full advantage a long-anticipated Pierce Clinic internship.  Following his graduation from Palmer College, Dr. Theo joined our team to serve the people of our community.


Aside from Upper Cervical Chiropractic, Dr. Theo is passionate about spending time with family, teaching yoga and community building.


Josh Smith, D.C., B.A.

Advanced Orthogonist

Dr. Josh was born in the midwestern state of Kansas.  After his father was offered a pastoral job in Fairbanks, he and his family moved to Alaska in 1992. Following his father’s footsteps, Dr. Josh initially pursued a life in ministry, receiving his bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in Religious Education and Music.

Shortly after finishing college, Dr. Josh suffered a significant back injury. This injury greatly affected his daily life and ultimately led him to discover the incredible affects of Chiropractic care. In 2016, Dr. Josh decided to enroll at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. The time he spent there learning from his Chiropractic professors and professionals was invaluable. Mid-way through his program he was introduced to Upper Cervical Care. Through attending the Advanced Orthogonal Seminars in St. Petersburg, and personal conversations with Dr. Pierce Sr.’s grandson, Dr. Josh decided to pursue an internship with Pierce Clinic after his graduation. Due to his excellent accomplishments throughout his internship, along with his compassion for patients and staff, Dr. Josh was offered an associate doctor position.

Outside of Chiropractic, Dr. Josh spends time with his wife Whiley, and son Elijah. They are enjoying exploring their new life in St. Petersburg together. In his spare time, Dr. Josh can be found in the garage working on his motorcycle or reading about new and interesting hobbies to pursue.


Dutch D’Amico, D.C.

Director of Marketing

Dr. Dutch is proud to be a fifth generation Doctor of Chiropractic and
the grandson of Dr. G. Stanford Pierce, Sr. He is originally from the St.
Petersburg area and recently returned here to practice after a long
separation due to his military service and schooling.

Dr. Dutch served in the US Army on active duty as an Artilleryman and
Instructor. He was also deployed to Afghanistan as a Non-Commisioned
Officer in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While serving on
active duty, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
with a focus in research. Upon leaving active duty, Dr. Dutch pursued
his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta,
Georgia while simultaneously serving as a Senior Leader in Georgia’s
National Guard Medical Command. In addition to his doctorate classes,
Dr. Dutch oversaw the logistics and operations of the Georgia National
Guard hospital system as well as worked to coordinate the state’s
logistics for medical equipment and hospital capacity in support of
COVID-19 operations during the initial crisis period.

Dr. Dutch has always appreciated the value of Upper Cervical
Chiropractic, starting under care at only 2 days old with Dr. Pierce at
the Pierce Clinic. His passion for the Advanced Orthogonal procedure
and patient care now drives his work ethic at the Pierce Clinic and he
looks forward to serving his community as an Advanced Orthogonal

Outside the clinic, Dr. Dutch loves spending time with his beautiful wife
Stephanie and their three children, Anthony, Isabella and Kathleen. He
also enjoys coaching soccer and golfing while building a great
relationship with his local and surrounding community.
