This is an incredible testimonial of one of our patients who was suffering from low back pain and sciatica. She received one correction to her upper neck using the Advanced Orthogonal technique. The results were stunning. Although she felt no change the day she was adjusted, she woke up the next day to find that her pain was gone.
What is the connection?
The low back stabilizer muscles are controlled directly by nerves in the upper neck, in an area called the vestibular nucleus. There are strong links from the muscles in the upper neck, particularly one called the inferior oblique, that influence the function of that vestibular nucleus. If there is a misalignment in the upper neck, it can cause imbalance in the muscle and nerve function of that area, and cause a direct dysfunction of the low back. If this dysfunction is left long enough, it will cause pain in the back that can radiate down the leg, sometimes mimicking sciatica.
In this case, our patient was adjusted once in the neck using precision percussive sound wave. The result was an overnight recovery of back pain. There are so many people still suffering from low back pain without understanding a very important cause of low back dysfunction.
This percussive sound wave treatment is exclusive to Advanced Orthogonal doctors. These highly trained chiropractors are able to evaluate and analyze specific upper neck misalignments and correct the nerve interference using a gentle alignment procedure. If you suffer from low back pain, call the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic and schedule a consultation to determine if you are a candidate for care.
